State Rep. J.P. Sredzinski recently donated $1,064.57 to the Monroe Scholarship Fund.  Sredzinski made the donation to disburse funds remaining from his successful 2016 campaign.

“I was fortunate enough to have many individuals and organizations support my campaign for re-election in 2016.  As a result of having won an unopposed election, I found myself with remaining funds and have been seeking the best possible use for that balance,” Sredzinski said. “The Monroe Scholarship Fund is a worthy organization that assists local students seeking higher education so this donation will help Monroe students reach higher and achieve their dreams, and I am grateful for this opportunity to be a small part of that.”

According to Sheri Szymanski, the Chairperson of the Monroe Scholarship Fund Committee, the organization is currently raising funds to assist high school seniors residing in Monroe.  Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance, community service, leadership and financial need.

“The Scholarship Committee is grateful for the support of the Sredzinski campaign. We are thrilled that this donation will directly benefit the class of 2017,” she said.
